Job Summary:

The accounts receivable clerk will be supporting GOAL ZERO in accounting duties which include but are not limited to: accounts receivable, invoicing, collections on trade accounts receivable, new customer set up and maintenance, reconcile customer accounts, update and link customer tax documents, cash application, processing credit and debit memos, and other general accounting needs. This person needs to be organized, professional, energetic, and work well with others. Must be able to work quickly, be task & detail oriented, able to meet deadlines, and work with little to no supervision.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Cash application

  • Collections

  • Invoicing (both via our SAGE 100 / MAS ERP system and via EDI systems)

  • Customer account reconciliation

  • New customer set up, maintenance, and uploads tax documents.

  • Basic accounting knowledge

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively

  • Learn and perform other Financial Accounting functions as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.

  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.

  • No travel required//

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 year of accounting classes or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experienceof accounts receivable expereince in collections, invoicing, and cash applications.

  • 1 year experience in calling and e-mail customers forpast due accounts.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Strong in Excel). Familiar with pivot tables and V-look ups.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively

  • Exceptional Communications Skills (oral and written)

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Display initiative, be self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
