Job Summary:

The Manager will support the Innovation and New Products team in Business Solutions across various activities with a heavy focus on new structures for NRG clients including renewable energy products. The role requires a combination of excellent communication skills, advanced analytical capabilities and an understanding of Commercial and Industrial customers. In addition, the ideal candidate will understand how back office functions operate, especially in the areas of pricing and structuring. The Manager will interact with a diverse team, including sales, management, sustainability specialists, industry segment specialists, as well as customers and partners. Our business unit has a start-up like environment that requires dedication and agility, attention to small group dynamics and a self-starter mentality.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Help create a process framework for the creation and implementation of new products

  • Navigate internal pathways for new product opportunities

  • Manage internal as well as external work streams, multiple projects and coordinate teams

  • Generate ideas for new products and their applications

  • Drive the development of new revenue-generating products

  • Collect, analyze, and present data in order to communicate complex concepts in conversations and presentations with external clients and internal decision makers

  • Create economic models and perform statistical analysis to support the development and evaluation of complex energy transactions and deal structures

  • Serve as a problem-solver with a customer-first mentality by identifying the needs of business customers and devising innovative ways to meet those needs

  • Provide time-critical analysis for new, incremental and existing business opportunities

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor s degree

Exceptional communication (verbal, written) skills

Minimum five years of work experience in energy

Complex modeling and economic analysis skills

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Self-motivated and driven

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree

  • Experience with complex structured transactions and concepts including options, derivatives, hedging strategies, and risk analysis
